You can use any SIM in any Modem either it is 2g or 3g.

Step 1-
You need to have any HUAWEI Modem either of airtel or other but should be GSM.
Step 2-
Download the Universal master Unlocker from here
Step 3-
Just run the software and enter your IMEI no. of modem in it and press generate. And it generate a unique password for you.

                                                             
Step 4-
Use any other SIM in your modem and then attach to PC.
Step 5-
You will see it asks for the Password and Don't worry. you have it so Just enter the password which is genarted by the Universal Master unlocker. You have done now.
